HUNTSVILLE,
Ala. - November 3, 2007 – What was to
be a promising NCAA Division II South Regional men’s cross country
meet turned out to be disappointing for the Clayton State Lakers on
Saturday. One of a few prime contenders coming into the meet,
Clayton State struggled to finish 16th
in the 19-team field with 408 points in the 10K event. It was the
lowest finish ever for a Laker men’s squad at a regional. The
highest finisher for the Lakers was from Joey Chino, who placed 44th
overall with a time of 34:32.5.
