Ga. - February 26, 2010 – Three Clayton State cross
country athletes were honored on Friday as a part of the
USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country
Coaches Association) Division II All-Academic Team. Selected on
the men’s team from Clayton State was Stephen Bowers, while the
Lakers’ Kourtney Aylor and Paige Galvin were selected for the
women.

EVANSVILLE,
Ind. – November 21, 2009 – Bidding to become the first
All-American in men’s cross country at Clayton State, Fidelis
Mutiso came up short in that opportunity on Saturday at the NCAA
Division II National Championships. A junior from Nairobi,
Kenya, Mutiso finished 82nd
overall in the field of 182 runners with a time of 33:25.1
overall. To qualify for All-American status, Mutiso needed to
finish at or within the Top 40 overall.

MORROW,
Ga. – November 20, 2009 – Clayton State's Fidelis Mutiso
approaches this season's NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country
National Championships with the opportunity that no Laker male
runner has ever achieved - All-American status. Mutiso gets that
opportunity on Saturday in Evansville, Ind., in the 2009 NCAA
Division II National Championships. The men's race begins at 1
p.m., and for Mutiso to earn the elusive All-American for
Clayton State, he will need to finish in the Top 40 in the
field.

Laker junior Mutiso to

MORROW,
Ga. – November 11, 2009 – The United States Track and
Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its
Division II All-Region teams on Wednesday, and the Clayton State
Lakers had two representatives selected to the Division II
All-Southeast Region team. Earning All-Region honors for Clayton
State was Fidelis Mutiso for the men, and Chelsea Ellis for the
