The Peach Belt Conference released its
weekly honors for cross country on Monday, and the Clayton State
Lakers were honored on the women’s side. The Lakers’ Allison
Kreutzer was selected as the Peach Belt Female Runner of the Week
for the second time this season. A junior from Lilburn, Ga.,
Kreutzer won her fourth straight race to start the 2006 cross
country season with a dominating performance on Saturday at the
Georgia Collegiate Championships in Macon.

Laker women place second, men sixth at Georgia Collegiate
Championships
Kreutzer, Cobb finish 1-2 for the fourth straight time this
season in the women’s race
MACON,
Ga. --- SEPTEMBER 30, 2006 ---
The growing trend that started in the first cross country
meet for the 2006 Clayton State Laker season continued on
Saturday at the Georgia Collegiate Championships. For the
fourth straight time this season, the duo of Allison
Kreutzer and Angela Cobb finished 1-2 for the Clayton State
Lakers as the Laker women placed second in the women’s race.
The Lakers finished with 87 points, 15 behind NAIA power
Berry. The Lakers defeated host Mercer by two points, plus
Peach Belt Conference foes Augusta State, Georgia College,
North Georgia and Georgia Southwestern. In the men’s race,
the Lakers placed sixth with 202 points.

Laker women place sixth, Laker men finish seventh over all
WINGATE,
N.C. --- SEPTEMBER 16,
2006 ---
The Clayton State Laker women’s cross country team has
something happening this season with the running duo of
Allison Kreutzer and Angela Cobb. For the third straight
meet, the two women finished 1-2 for the Laker women as
Kreutzer again edged Cobb at the finish line on Saturday at
the Wingate Invitational. Kreutzer, a junior and two-time
All-American, finished with a winning time of 23:15 minutes,
while Cobb was second with a time of 23:25. Overall, the
Laker women finished sixth in the 15-team event with 146
points, while the Clayton State men placed seventh in the
13-team field with 215 points.

selected as the Peach Belt Female Runner of the Week. A
junior from Lilburn, Ga., Kreutzer won her second straight
race to start the 2006 cross country season with a
victorious finish at the Pre-Conference Classic in Smith’s
Station, Ala.
