MORROW, Ga. – June 5, 2009 – Clayton State’s Katie White and Viktoriya Semyrodenko capped off a strong 2008-09 women’s tennis season on Friday as the Laker doubles duo earned ITA Division II All-American honors. White, a sophomore from Wolverhampton, England, and Semyrodenko, a sophomore from Donetsk, Ukraine, become the fourth different doubles team from Clayton State to earn All-American honors. 11th-ranked Lakers conclude 2009 season 11-7 overall with defeat against top-ranked Armstrong Atlantic
SAVANNAH, Ga. – May 9, 2009 – The 11th-ranked Clayton State Laker women’s tennis team saw its 2009 season come to a conclusion on Saturday as the Lakers dropped a 5-0 decision at top-ranked and defending NCAA Division II National Champion Armstrong Atlantic in the Division II Southeast Regional championship. Southeast Regional for women’s tennis

11th-ranked Lakers down 19th-ranked Augusta State 5-1; battle top-ranked Armstrong Atlantic in title match
SAVANNAH, Ga. – May 8, 2009 – The 11th-ranked Clayton State Laker women’s tennis team advanced to the 2009 NCAA Division II Southeast Region final on Friday with a 5-1 victory over 19th-ranked Augusta State at the Armstrong Atlantic Tennis Complex. Clayton State (11-6) will now face top-ranked and defending NCAA Division II National Champion Armstrong Atlantic in the region championship on Saturday at 10 a.m. The winner advances to the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis National Championships in Altamonte Springs, Fla., on May 13-16. Clayton State earns NCAA Division II women’s tennis Southeast Regional berth
11th-ranked Lakers battle Augusta State in first round on May 8
MORROW – April 30, 2009 – For the second straight season, the Clayton State Laker women’s tennis is heading to the postseason. The Lakers officially earned their bid late Wednesday evening to the 2009 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional on May 7-9 at Armstrong Atlantic. Head coach Tamas Szababdos’ Lakers are currently 10-6 overall and ranked 11th in the latest ITA Division II Top 25 national poll. Clayton State will face Peach Belt Conference rival Augusta State in the first round on May 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the Armstrong Atlantic Tennis Complex. See full story
