Eighth-ranked Clayton State rebounds, blanks No. 33 Erskine 9-0
Lakers recover from loss to Armstrong Atlantic, improve to 10-1 overall

DUE WEST, S.C. – March 13, 2008 – The Clayton State Laker women’s tennis team didn’t take long to recover from Tuesday’s defeat in its Division II Top 10 showdown against Peach Belt Conference rival Armstrong Atlantic. On Thursday, the Lakers got back in business with a 9-0 shutout victory at 33rd-ranked Erskine.

The victory improves eighth-ranked Clayton State to 10-1 overall.

The Lakers swept all six matches in singles and the three doubles matches. Anna Redecsi (No. 1), Julia Chergova (No. 2), Viktoriya Semyrodenk (No. 3), Katie White (No. 4), Kristina Jonutyte (No. 5) and Veronika Jasenovcova (No. 6) each won in straight sets in singles. In doubles, Chergova and Redecsi (No. 1), Semyrodenk and White (No. 2) and Selma Hidass and Elena Bondari (No. 3) each prevailed.
