MORROW, Ga. --- SEPTEMBER 27, 2006 --- The skid is over for the Clayton State Laker women’s soccer team.

Playing host to Newberry on Wednesday, the Lakers snapped a four-game losing streak with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Newberry at Laker Field. Both Antoinette Anounga and Yasemin Sunbul combined for the assist on the play. Newberry trimmed the Laker lead to one goal in the 64th minute when Brooke Tumlin scored a goal inside the penalty box off an assist by Inga Woiwode. However, the Clayton State defense stiffened down the stretch to preserve the victory.
