One of seven freshmen on the Laker track & field roster for 2008.  Jumped career best in long jump and ran career-best in the 110m hurdles on May 3 at the D-II South Region meet.  Competed in two indoor meets, mainly in the sprints. 

High School: A 2007 graduate from Jefferson County High School.  Was primarily a hurdler and jumper in high school.  During his senior year, he ran 14.30 in the 110m hurdles, won his region and finished sixth at the state meet.  He received numerous athletic awards that included the Wendy’s High School Heisman, Principal’s Award, Chick-fil-A Scholar Athlete, National Scholar Athlete Award, Distinguished Athlete Award, Captains Award (for football and track), Most Valuable Runner, and the Best Special Team Player.
