Dear Prospective Student-Athlete:

Thank you for your interest in the Clayton State Athletic Program. Please take a few minutes to fill out this questionnaire, so that we may begin the recruiting process. Also, please read the following notice concerning NCAA regulations on recruiting:

 

Important Notice Regarding Coaches Communicating with Prospects

NCAA recruiting regulations limit the amount of contact and the periods when coaches can be in contact with prospective student-athletes.

The correspondent should be aware that the earliest coaches can begin written communications is September 1 of the prospect's junior year in high school. Facsimiles (FAX) and electronic-mail (E-Mail) are treated as written communications by NCAA regulations.

In addition, coaches cannot place telephone calls to a prospect before June 15  immediately preceding the prospect's senior year in high school. While it is permissible for a prospect to call at the prospect's own expense and talk to a coach at any time, coaches may not return calls to prospects who have not yet completed their junior year in high school. Even when it is permissible for coaches to place phone calls, they can telephone a prospect and/or the prospect's family only one time per week. (per NCAA rule 13.1.3.1)
