A transfer from NCAA Division I Memphis that will be a huge addition to the Lakers in more ways than one… Brings a big, physical presence to the Clayton State defensive backline and an aggressive playing style… Will redshirt this season, but will have two seasons of eligibility remaining in a Clayton State uniform.
Pre-Clayton State: Lettered one season each at Evansville and Memphis… Played in five of the first six games to start the 2005 season at Memphis before injuries forced him to sit out the remainder of the year ... Started both games of the Memphis Diadora Tournament against Centenary and Oral Roberts ... Played in 12 of 19 games at Evansville in 2003, starting three and averaging 60 minutes a game at centerback ... Helped Evansville finish 9-7-3 and 4-4-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
High School/Club: Product of Duluth High School, where he lettered in both cross-country and soccer ... High School head coach was Gregg Tavani… Racked up several honors and awards in soccer while in high school, including the Player of the Year, Best Sportsmanship Player, All County (twice), Coaches Award (twice), Most Valuable Player and Most Athletic ... Was the team captain for two years ... His Duluth team was the 2003 state runner-up and the 2002 state semifinalist ... Captained club team for four years ... Played club soccer for the No. 4 nationally-ranked Norcross Fury Gold coached by former U.S. National Team member Bruce Murray.
