Clayton State's Brennan Cass 
finishes 31st at NCAA S.E. Regional


Sneads Ferry, NC---May 8, 2002 ---
Clayton College & State University's Brennan Cass shot a 5-over par 77 to finish 31st Wednesday in the final round of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional golf tournament at North Shore Country Club in Sneads Ferry, NC. 

Cass, a junior from Fergus, Ontario, fell back nine spots in the final round after shooting rounds of even par 72 in the first round and a 2-over par 74 on the second day. Armstrong Atlantic State University's Nick Cowper won the event after a 1-under par 71 in the final round, giving him a 12-under par score of 204 on the 6, 866 yard course.  He led the first two days after rounds of 63 and 70 respectively.

Cass qualified for the tournament as one of five individuals named to compete in the event from a pool of players not on the eight teams selected to the regional event.

USC-Aiken won the S.E. Regional, with a 29-under par score of 835, nine shots ahead of Kennesaw State University. Francis Marion placed third, 12 strokes back.

The Pacers will advance to the national championship tournament as the winner of the event. There will also be eight "at large" teams selected to the national championship from the 10 total regions, picked from a pool consisting of the top five finishers in each region.

Sneads Ferry, NC---May 7, 2002 --- After an even par 72 in the opening round, Clayton College & State University's Brennan Cass shot a 2-over par 74 Tuesday in the second of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional golf tournament at North Shore Country Club in Sneads Ferry, NC.

Cass, a junior from Fergus, Ontario, moved up to 22nd in the field of almost 50 golfers, and with 18 holes remaining, he is only five shots from breaking into the top-10 in the event, which features the top golfers in the Southeast Region. Armstrong Atlantic State University's Nick Cowper leads the field at 11-under par after rounds of 63 and 70.

Cass qualified for the tournament as one of five individuals named to compete in the event from a pool of players not on the eight teams selected to the regional event. The final round of the 54-hole tournament will continue on Wednesday.

USC-Aiken has a 14-shot lead in the tournament after rounds of 270 and 282. Kennesaw State is in second place after consecutive rounds of 283, followed by Francis Marion, 18 shots back after rounds of 275 and 295

The winning team of the Southeast Regional will advance to the national championship tournament. There will also be eight "at large" teams selected to the national championship from the 10 total regions, picked from a pool consisting of the top five finishers in each region.

Also the top individual finisher from each region that is not on a team advancing to the national championship will be selected for the national tourney.

CCSU's Brennan Cass tied

Sneads Ferry, NC---May 6, 2002 --- Clayton College & State University's Brennan Cass shot an even par-72 and is tied for 23rd after the first round the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional golf tournament at North Shore Country Club in Sneads Ferry, NC.

Cass, a junior from Fergus, Ontario, qualified for the tournament as one of five individuals named to compete in the event from a pool of players not on the eight teams selected to the regional event. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cass shot a 36 on both the front nine and the back nine and trails Armstrong Atlantic State 's Nick Cowper, the leader of the event by nine shots. He is three shots out of the top-10.

USC-Aiken leads the team event with a round of 270, five shots ahead of Francis Marion. The winning team of the Southeast Regional will advance to the national championship tournament. There will also be eight "at large" teams selected to the national championship from the 10 total regions, picked from a pool consisting of the top five finishers in each region.

CCSU's Brennan Cass selected to 
play in NCAA Southeast golf Regionals

Morrow, GA---May 1, 2002--- The 2002 golf season for Clayton College & State University's Brennan Cass has been extended at least one more tournament, thanks to some good play during the regular season.

Cass, a junior from Fergus, Onatario, was one of five individuals named to compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals from a pool of players not on the eight teams selected to the regional event. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the North Shore Golf Club in Sneads Ferry, N.C., and hosted by Pfeiffer University, beginning Monday, May 6.

Cass, who had the second lowest scoring average on Clayton State's 48th-ranked team, finished the season with five top-20 finishes and two top-10's. His top performance came at the Rendleman Invitational where he placed eighth with rounds of 73 and 72. Earlier this season at Pfeiffer's North Shore Invitational, a tournament played on the same course of the upcoming regional, Cass tied for 16th with rounds of 77 and 75.

Six of the eight schools in the Peach Belt Conference were selected to participate in the eight-team event. USC Aiken, Francis Marion, Georgia College & State University, Columbus State, Armstrong Atlantic State and Kennesaw State all were picked along with Catawba and Carson-Newman.

In addition to Cass, the four other individuals selected from the region were Brent Dyson, Tusculum; Matt Drye, North Carolina Pembroke; Shaun Walsh, Mars Hill; and James Ambrose, Wingate.

The winning team of the Southeast Regional will advance to the national championship tournament. There will also be eight "at large" teams selected to the national championship from the 10 total regions, picked from a pool consisting of the top five finishers in each region. Clayton State golfers finish seventh in
Peach Belt Conference Championships

Canton, GA---April 23, 2002---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shaved 13 strokes off its first round score, shooting a final round of 312 Tuesday to finish seventh in the Peach Belt Conference Golf Championships at Bridgemill Athletic Club in Canton, GA.

The Lakers opened the tournament on Monday and shot a round of 325 under stormy weather conditions but bounced back on Tuesday with one of its best team rounds of the season on the par 72, 7,012-yard course.

USC Aiken captured the conference championship, its first title in four years, coming back from seven strokes in the final round. The Pacers shot a 295 on the final day of the tournament to finish with a two-day score of 600. Kennesaw State and Armstrong Atlantic State University finished tied for second place at 607. Georgia College & State Unviersity finished the tournament in fourth place while Francis Marion made the biggest one day improvement by finishing fifteen strokes better than yesterday's 316 to end with a 617 score. Columbus State dropped from a 309 yesterday to a 326 in the second round.

For Clayton State, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) and junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) led the squad with two round scores of 157. Mattox shot the team's best round of the championships with a four-over par 76 after shooting an 81 in the first round. Cass opened the tourney with a 79, followed by a 78 in the final round.

Sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) had rounds of 80 and 78, followed senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) with rounds of 85 and 83 and freshman Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) with rounds of 88 and 80.

USCA's Scott Brown edged teammate Aaron Black and Armstrong Atlantic's David Roger in the first hole of sudden death to capture the individual medal.

CCSU golfers finish 8th in N.C. Collegiate Invit.;
 shoot best two rounds of season

White Lake, NC---April 15, 2002---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot its best two-team rounds of the season Saturday and Sunday to finish eighth in the North Carolina Collegiate Invitational hosted by North Carolina Pembroke at the Carolina Sands Golf Course in White Lake, NC.

The Lakers opened the tournament with a season best round of 295 on the first day and was in fourth place entering Sunday before shooting a round of 301 to finish eighth out of 15 teams. The two rounds were the lowest of the season for the squad.

Clayton State will return to the course on Monday, traveling to Canton, GA for the Peach Belt Conference Championships hosted by Kennesaw State University at Ridgemill Athletic Club.

Pfeiffer University shot a two-under par 286 on Sunday to edge first round leader USC Aiken in the tournament by one stroke with a two-round total of 577. Catawba College placed third, three shots back at 580, followed by Kennesaw in fourth at 588 and Tusculum College in fifth at 590.

Jordan Stelmach, of Pfeiffer University's "B" team, won the event shooting a six-under par 138 on the 6,925-yard, par 72 course.

For Clayton State, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) led the squad, tying for ninth with a score of 143 after rounds of 72 and 71. The tournament finish was Cass' fourth top 20 finish of the season. Junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) also placed in the top 20, his third of the season, finishing tied for 13th after rounds of 71 and 74.

Behind Mattox, senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) tied for 53rd after rounds of 75 and 79, followed by sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) and freshman Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) tying for 66th with two-round totals of 157.

Clayton State golfers finish 14th
in Bobcat Invitational

Greensboro, GA---March 26, 2002---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot a final round 321 to finish with a three round score of 946, placing 14th in the Bobcat Invitational at Port Armor Country Club in Greensboro, GA.

Third-ranked USC Aiken won the 15-team tournament, shooting a two-over par 866 for the three rounds on the 6,871-yard, par 72 course. Pfeiffer University was the runner-up in the event after shooting a final round 291 for a three-round total of 874, overtaking second-ranked Florida Southern College for the second place spot.

David Robinson, of host Georgia College & State University shot a par 72 in the final round to win the individual competition at five-under par after posting rounds of 70 and 69 on the opening day.

For Clayton State, sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) and junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) led the team, tying for 38th. Mattox shot a final round 77 after rounds of 80 and 73, while Shirley had a final round of 78 after rounds of 75 and 77.

Behind Shirley and Mattox, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) tied for 67th after rounds of 80, 80 and 81, while senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) finished 73rd after rounds of 80, 80 and 85. Freshman Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) finished 74th after rounds of 84, 86 and 86.

The Lakers will return to the links on April 12-14 for the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of North Carolina Pembroke in Elizabethtown, NC.

Clayton State golfers place 11th in
Richard Rendleman
Invitational

Salisbury, NC---March 5, 2002---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot 14 strokes better in the second round of the Richard Rendleman Invitational than the first round but ended up falling back one spot to 11th in the final standings of the tournament Tuesday at the Crescent Golf Course in Salisbury, N.C.

The Lakers shot a 303 in the second round of the tournament after shooting a 317 on the first day in the 18-team tournament.

Junior Brenan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) led the squad, shooting a 1-over par 145 for the tourney, which was good for eighth place on the 6,695-yard course. He opened the tournament with a 73, followed by an even par 72 in the final round. Tusculum's Brent Dyson won the tournament with a two-round score of 3-under par 141 after shooting 71 on the first day and 70 in the second round

Francis Marion won the event shooting 588, followed by Georgia College & State University at 593 and Tusculum at 595. Pfeiffer University shot 596, followed by Kennesaw State and Carson-Newman rounding out the top five at 598. With a two-round score of 620, the Lakers were only one stroke out of eighth place as three teams tied at 619.

Behind Cass for Clayton State, junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) tied for 28th with rounds of 78 and 76, followed by freshman Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) tied for 61st with rounds of 81 and 79. Sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) tied for 68th after rounds of 85 and 76, followed by senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) finishing 90th after rounds of 93 and 89. 

Clayton State will return to the links on March 24-26 in the Bobcat Classic at Port Armour Golf Course in Greensboro, GA.

1st round of Richard Rendleman

Salisbury, NC---March 4, 2002---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot a first round 317 and is tied for 10th place after the first round of the Richard Rendleman Invitational at the Crescent Golf Course in Salisbury, N.C.

Junior Brenan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) leads the team after shooting a 1-over par 73 on the 6,695-yard course. Cass is tied for fourth place along with six other golfers and is only two shots back from the lead. Tusculum College's Brent Dyson and Francis Marion's Dylan Keylock led the field after carding first round 1-under par 71s.

Francis Marion will enter Tuesday's final round in the lead after shooting a 298, two strokes better than Georgia College & State University. Pfeiffer shot a round of 302, followed by Tusculum College at 304 and Kennesaw State rounding out the top five at 307.

Behind Cass, Clayton State junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) is tied for 32nd after a round of 78. Freshman Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) is tied for 54th after a round of 81, followed by Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) tied for 76th after an 85 and David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) tied for 88th after a round of 93.

Clayton State golfers place 9th
in Bay Medical Intercollegiate

Panama City Beach, FL---February 12, 2001---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team opened its spring season earlier this week, tying for ninth place in the Bay Medical Intercollegiate at the Hombre Golf Course in Panama City, FL.

The Lakers opened the tournament with a 320 score on the 6,541-yard, par 72 course, which was good sixth place in the 16-team tournament. The squad came back with a round of 324 in the second round, dropping three spots. Kennesaw State University won the event, holding off the University of South Carolina Aiken with a two-round total of 602. KSU shot 297 in the first round, followed by a 305 on the second day. USCA shot 308 on the first day, followed by a tourney low 295 on the second day.

Behind USCA, Catawba College placed third with a total of 616, followed by Presbyterian College and Columbus State University tied for fourth at 627. Central Arkansas University and Carson Newman College tied for sixth place with a score of 636, followed by Georgia College & State University eighth at 637.

Clayton State junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) led the Lakers, tying for 28th after rounds of 78 and 81. Freshman Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) had the second best two-round total after rounds 83 and 79, tying for 42nd.

Behind Kinsey, sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) tied for 45th after rounds of 79 and 84. Senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) tied for 48th after rounds of 80 and 84, while junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) shot rounds of 80 and 85 to tie for 52nd.

Clayton State will return to the links on March 3-5 in the Richard Rendlemann Invitational at the Crescent Golf Course in the Salisbury, N.C.


Clayton State golfers to open season
in Bay Dunes Intercollegiate

Morrow, GA---February 8, 2001--The Clayton College & State University men's golf team will open its 2002 spring season on Monday, competing in the Bay Dunes Intercollegiate in Panama City, FL.

Fifth-year coach Bob Hill returns five players from the fall season and last year's team. Juniors Brenan Cass, Fergus Ontario and Jonathan Mattox, St. Simons, GA; return for their third seasons, while senior David Peeples, Jonesboro, GA; sophomore Jess Shirley, Newnan, GA; and freshman Ronnie Kinsey, McDonough, GA; return for their second seasons.

Cass posted two top 20 finishes in the fall, a 16th place finish in the Pfeiffer Intercollegiate and a tie for 18th place in the Western Carolina University Shootout. He carded the lowest scoring average on the squad last season and is coming off a win and a tie for first in two tournaments last season, at the Bill Hill Memorial and the Lacey Gane Intercollegiate, respectively.

Mattox had the team's top performance of the 2001 fall season, tying for fifth in the WCU Shootout, only two shots behind the winner of the event. He posted the team's second lowest scoring average in the 2000-01 season, including two finishes in the top 20.

Peeples, Shirley and Kinsey all return to the Clayton State squad for their second seasons. Peeples fired the squad's lowest score in last fall's DogFight at the Challenge tournament, tying for 14th and had one top-20 finish in the 2000-01 season. Shirley posted the team's second lowest score in the Pfeiffer Intercollegiate during the fall, tying for 20th and also had one top-20 finish in the 2000-01 season. Kinsey practiced with the squad last year but didn't play in any tournaments.

The Lakers' top finish in the 2000-01 season was a third place team finish in the Lacey Gane Invitational, five strokes from the lead.

In addition to competing in the Bay Dunes tournament, which will include Peach Belt Conference schools such as Columbus State, USC Aiken, GC&SU and Kennesaw State, the CCSU team has five more tournaments on tap, culminating in the Peach Belt Conference Championships at the end of May and hopefully an invitation to the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships on May 1.

Clayton State golfers place 8th
in Western Carolina Shootout

Myrtle Beach, S.C.---November 12, 2001---The Clayton College & State University men's golf team closed out its fall season Sunday, placing eighth with a two-round score of 615 in the Western Carolina University Shootout at Burning Ridge in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Clayton State's Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) had the team's top performance of the season, tying for fifth individually in the event with a 74 in the first round, followed by a 1-under-par 71 in the final round. Mattox finished only two shots behind winner Matt Riddick of Appalachian State, who had rounds of 70 and 73 to finish with a 143 total.

Behind Mattox, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) finished tied for 18th with rounds of 77 and 76, followed sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) tied for 35th after two rounds of 79. Senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) finished tied for 40th after rounds of 80 and 79, while freshman Bradley Jordan (Lithonia, GA) shot rounds of 80 and 81 to tie for 44th.

Clayton State finished only five strokes out of the top five in the 12-team tournament. Pfeiffer University won the tourney with a two-round total of 598, followed by Murray State two shots back with a two-round total of 600.

Clayton State golfers tie for 13th 
in Rollins
Intercollegiate

Ocoee, FL---November 6, 2001---In 15th place after the first two rounds of the Rollins Intercollegiate, the Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot a round of 312 Tuesday and moved up two spots to finish tied for 13th in the 17-team tournament at Forest Lake Golf Club.

Clayton State finished with a three-round total of 929 on the par 72, 6950-yard course.

For Clayton State, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) led the squad with rounds of 76, 74 and 80 to tie for 46th place. Junior Jonathan Mattox (St. Simons, GA) tied for 51st after rounds of 79, 75 and 77. Freshman Bradley Jordan (Lithonia, GA) tied for 58th after rounds of 74, 77 and 82.

Sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) had two rounds of 81, followed by the team's lowest round of 73 to finish tied for 61st. Sophomore Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) tied for 81st after rounds of 84, 88 and 84.

Florida Gulf Coast fired the low round of the tournament on Tuesday  to vault over Rollins and Florida Southern to win the tourney. Florida Gulf Coast fired a final round score of five-under 283 to finish with a three round score of 868 (292-293-283). Rollins College finished second with a score of 878 (286-297-295).

Andy Blanton of Valdosta State claimed individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 211.

Clayton State golfers place 9th in 18-team field
 at North Shore Pfeiffer Intercollegiate

Sneads, Ferry, NC-- October 30, 2001--Under harsh weather conditions, the Clayton College & State University men's golf team fired two of its best three rounds of the fall season, en route to a ninth place finish in the 18-team North Shore/Pfeiffer Intercollegiate held October 27-28.

The Lakers finished with a two round total of 617 on the par-72, 6,866-yard course at the North Shore Beach and Golf Club. The squad finished 14 shots from third place in the event, opening the tournament with a round of 308, followed by a round of 309.

Host Pfeiffer won the tournament after rounds of 292 and 301 for a combined total of 593. The University of South Carolina Aiken placed second after rounds of 294 and 300, followed by Georgia College & State University third with rounds of 305 and 298.

For Clayton State, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) shot the team's low score, tying for 16th with rounds of 75 and 77. Sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) had the low round of the tournament for the squad with a 1-over par, 73 in the second round after shooting an 80 in the opening round to finish tied for 20th.

Junior Jonathon Mattox (St. Simons, GA) tied for 52nd with two rounds of 79, while freshman Bradley Jordan (Lithonia, GA) tied for 55th with rounds of 74 and 85. Sophomore Ronnie Kinsey (McDonough, GA) tied for 67th with rounds of 82 and 80.

Individually, GC&SU's David Robinson won the event, shooting a 5-under par 139, after rounds of 71 and 68.

Up next for Clayton State, the Lakers will travel to Winter Park, FL for a tournament November 4-6, hosted by Rollins College.

Clayton State golfers place 14th at Presbyterian College Intercollegiate

Clinton, SC-- October 9, 2001--The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot a round of 328 Tuesday after a first round of 320 on Monday to place 14th in the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate at the Musgrove Mill Golf Course.

The University of South Carolina Aiken came from nine strokes down after the first round to win the tournament. The Pacers shot an opening round 307 on Monday and trailed first round leader, Armstrong Atlantic State University by nine strokes entering Tuesday's final round. USCA carded a tournament-best round score of four-over par 292 in the second round to pass the field and win the tournament by eight strokes with a two-day score of 599.

For Clayton State, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) shot the team's low score, tying for 38th with rounds of 76 and 83. Freshman Toby McSwain (Newnan, GA) tied for 46th with rounds of 82 and 79, followed by junior Jonathon Mattox (St. Simons, GA) tied for 54th with rounds of 85 and 79. Sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) tied for 56th with rounds of 77 and 88, while senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) placed 77th with a rounds of 90 and 87.

Several teams that entered Tuesday's round atop the leaderboard struggled to keep up with the Pacers. Columbus State University, who shot a 305 Tuesday, finished second with a two-round score of 607. Pfeiffer University, who was fifth after Monday's opening round, shot a 310 Tuesday and finished third.

Individually, Carson-Newman’s Matthew Cram-Smith shot a tournament-best three-under par 69 Tuesday to finish with a 143 to win the individual title.

Up next for Clayton State, the Lakers will travel to Sneads Ferry, N.C. for a tournament hosted by Pfeiffer University on October 27-28.

Clayton State golfers in 12th after first round
at Presbyterian College Intercollegiate

Clinton, SC-- October 8, 2001--The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot an opening round 320 and is tied for 12th place after the first round of competition in the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate at the Musgrove Mill Golf Course.

Armstrong Atlantic State University took the early lead in the tournament, firing a 10-over par 298 on the 6,658 yard, par 72 course to lead by four strokes over fellow Peach Belt Conference foes Francis Marion University and Columbus State University who each shot a opening round 302.

For Clayton State, junior Brennan Cass (Fergus, Ontario) shot the team's low score, tying for 17th with a round of 76. Sophomore Jess Shirley (Newnan, GA) is tied for 21st with a round of 77, followed by Toby McSwain (Newnan, GA) tied for 51st with a round of 82.

Junior Jonathon Mattox (St. Simons, GA) is tied for 67th after a round of 85 and senior David Peeples (Jonesboro, GA) shot an opening round of 90 and is in 77th place.

Behind Armstrong, Francis Marion and Columbus, Pfeiffer University is in fourth place after shooting a 305, followed by Presbyterian and USC Aiken, tied for fifth place at 307.

Individually, Francis Marion's Juan Pablo Bossi shot a opening round two-under par 70 to lead the field. Three players are tied for second with a first day score of 71 including a pair of Columbus State players, David Lea and Anton  Haakman along with Armstrong Atlantic State's Clay Best.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday.

Clayton State golfers place 5th in 
season-opening tournament

Graham, NC-- September 26, 2001--The Clayton College & State University men's golf team opened the season with a fifth place finish in the Dogfight at The Challenge golf tournament held at The Challenge at Hideaway Farms course in Graham, N.C.

After firing an opening round 305, which tied the squad for second place, the Lakers shot a second round 318, dropping to fifth overall.

Duke University's junior varsity took the team title, shooting rounds of 302 and 286 for a two-round total of 12-over-par, 588. The Blue Devils led by three strokes over Clayton State and the University of Charleston after the first round before shooting a 2-under-par 286 in the second round, distancing itself from the field.

Charleston placed second in the tourney after a second round of 301 for a combined score of 606, followed by Anderson College, 613; West Virginia Wesleyan, 614; and Clayton State, 623.

David Peeples, a senior from Jonesboro, GA, led the Laker squad, tying for 14th with rounds of 77 and 76. Sophomore Jess Shirley, Newnan, GA, had the Lakers' low round of the tourney with a 1-over-par 73 in the opening round but finished tied for 23rd after a second round 82.

Junior Jonathon Mattox, St. Simons, GA, finished tied for 28th after rounds of 76 and 82, followed by junior Brenan Cass, Fergus, Ontario, tying for 32nd after rounds of 79 and 81. Freshman Toby McSwain, Newnan, GA, shot rounds of 83 and 79, tying for 39th place.

Duke's Tom LeFebvre carded a tournament low 4-under-par 68 in the second round to tie West Virginia Wesleyan's Bryan Overby and Charleston's Scott Campbell at 144, before taking the individual title in a playoff.
