Kelly scores 14 points as Lakers close out 2007 portion of schedule an even 5-5 overall

MONTICELLO, Ark. – December 31, 2007 – The 2007 portion of this season did not end on a good note for the Clayton State Laker men’s basketball team as it dropped a 78-58 decision on Monday afternoon at Arkansas-Monticello. The defeat evens the Lakers’ overall record at 5-5.

The host Boll Weevils used their inside attack to its advantage, shooting 53 percent from the field in the first half and 57 percent in second half for 55 percent from the field for the game. The Lakers had no answer for the Arkansas-Monticello inside combination of Derek Easter and Raymond Wright, who both scored 20 points for the Boll Weevils.
