center after playing effectively behind Aristide Sawadogo last season…

from last season… A potential All-Peach Belt Conference hopeful.
2006-07: Made an immediate impact
offensively as arguably the Lakers’ top scoring threat off the bench as
the back-up center... Averaged six points and three rebounds off the
bench, while shooting 55 percent from the field... Ranked third in the
Peach Belt Conference in field goal shooting percentage... Reached
double-figures in scoring in six games... Scored a career-high 20 points
on 10-for-13 shooting from the field with 10 rebounds for a
double-double against Carver... Also scored 15 points on 6-for-8
shooting from the field in the first round of the NCAA Division II
National Tournament against Catawba, and 14 points on 7-for-8 shooting
from the field against Catawba at the Walt Baker Classic... Made a
successful Clayton State debut with 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting from
the field against Southeastern... Added 10 points each against Lenoir-Rhyne
and Lander in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament championship game.
Pre-Clayton
State:
Was a two-year
standout at Seminole Community College in Sanford, Fla… Junior college
head coach was Bobby Washington… Was also coached by current Laker
assistant Andy Harre at Seminole… Averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds as
a sophomore, getting selected All-Mid-Florida Conference in the process…
Served as team captain as a sophomore… Ranked eighth in the state in
rebounding and fourth in the state in field goal percentage… Averaged
five points and five rebounds as a freshman.
High School: Lettered four seasons in
basketball at Edgewood High School in Orlando… High school head coach
was Travis Jones… Served as team captain for two seasons… Was a two-time
All-District and All-State selection as a junior and senior… Averaged a
double in his last two seasons of high school… Averaged 19 points and 10
rebounds as a junior and 18 points and 11 rebounds as a senior… Helped
pace Edgewood to the state finals during both his junior and senior
seasons.
