Clayton State men ranked 13th in this week’s NABC/Division II Top 25 Coach’s Poll

Lakers play host to Georgia Southwestern in first home game in two weeks

MORROW, Ga. --- FEBRUARY 13, 2007 --- The NABC/Division II Top 25 Coach’s Poll for men’s basketball was released on Tuesday, and the Clayton State Lakers are continuing to hold a national ranking in the polls.

Clayton State is ranked 13th in this week’s Top 25, down three spots from 10th last week. The Lakers received 102 points in the latest poll. Clayton State is currently 20-3 overall and 9-3 in the Peach Belt Conference heading into Wednesday’s home game against Georgia Southwestern.

The Lakers are also one of two teams from the Peach Belt ranked in this week’s poll. After its 76-67 victory over Clayton State on Wednesday, Augusta State is now tied for 10th in the Top 25 with Grand Valley State. Defending NCAA Division II National Champion Winona State continues to hold the spot of the nation’s No. 1-ranked team.

Clayton State plays host to Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Athletics and Fitness Center. It will be the Lakers’ first home game in two weeks.
