Returns for his
senior season at Clayton State… Set to take over as the starter at
point guard following the graduation of Donte Dawson… Arguably the
best point guard in the Peach Belt Conference… A “run the show” type
point guard that can penetrate and shoot well from the perimeter…
Set the Clayton State single-season record for 3-point field goal
percentage last season at 47 percent… A legitimate All-Peach Belt
hopeful this season.
2005-06: Made a successful transition
into the Clayton State system, appearing in all 28 games as the
“sixth man” off the bench… Ranked second on the team in scoring,
averaging 12 points a game, while shooting 79 percent from the free
throw line and 47 percent from 3-point range to lead the team in
both categories… Also led the team in steals with 56… Led the Peach
Belt Conference in 3-point field goal percentage and ranked third in
the Peach Belt in steals… Reached double-figures in scoring in 18
games… Scored a career-high 24 points in each in the final two games
of the season against Francis Marion and USC-Upstate… Also scored 19
points each against Tuskegee and Augusta State and 18 points against
North Georgia… Recorded career-high seven rebounds against Lander
and career-high six steals against Bluefield.
Pre-Clayton State: Played one season each at Cowley
County Community College in Arkansas City, Kan., and at Sante Fe
Community College in Gainesville, Fla… Head coach at Cowley County
was Randy Smithson and head coach at Sante Fe was Chris Mowry…
Sparked Sante Fe to a 26-4 mark in 2004-05 and ranked of sixth in
the nation… Shot 44 percent from 3-point range… Played in the NJCAA
Region VIII All-Star Game.
High School: Lettered two seasons in
basketball at Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Fla. High school
head coach was Chard Keller.
