ANDY HARRE
Men's Assistant Basketball Coach

Andy Harre begins his second season on the Clayton State men's basketball coaching staff. No stranger to Laker head coach Gordon Gibbons, Harre was previously a men’s assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for one season at Seminole Community College in the Mid-Florida Junior College League. During his short time at Clayton State, Harre has worked with the Laker guards and perimeter players, and has rapidly developed into a staunch recruiter.

The relationship between Harre and Gibbons goes way back to his prep days in Florida. Harre was a standout under current Laker assistant coach Brent Buchanan at Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Fla. Gibbons then recruited and signed Harre at Florida Southern, where he was a part of two of the Moccasins’ most successful seasons.

During that time frame, Harre helped lead Florida Southern to an impressive 60-10 mark with consecutive Sunshine State Conference Championships and two straight trips to the “Elite Eight” of the NCAA Division II National Tournament. During his sophomore season, Florida Southern went 32-2, was ranked No. 1 in the nation in Division II for much of the season and advanced to the NCAA Division II “Elite Eight”.

Harre received his Associate’s Degree from Brevard Community College in 2001 and his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Central Florida in 2005. During his time at Central Florida, Harre was an assistant boys coach at Florida power Oviedo High School for two seasons.
