Laker junior aims to
become Clayton State's first men's All-American in cross country

Ga. – November 20, 2009 –
Clayton State's Fidelis Mutiso
approaches this season's NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country
National Championships with the opportunity that no Laker male
runner has ever achieved - All-American status. Mutiso gets that
opportunity on Saturday in Evansville, Ind., in the 2009 NCAA
Division II National Championships. The men's race begins at 1
p.m., and for Mutiso to earn the elusive All-American for
Clayton State, he will need to finish in the Top 40 in the

three on Daktronics Men’s Soccer Division II All-Southeast Region Team
Lakers’ Timm,
Cristofoli, Brown each selected second team All-Region

MORROW,
Ga. – November 19, 2009 – The Clayton State
Laker men’s soccer team placed three players on this season’s Daktronics
Division II All-Southeast Region team, which was released on Thursday.
Honored as second team All-Region for the Lakers was midfielder Kyle
Timm, goalkeeper David Cristofoli and defender Liam Brown. This is the
first All-Region honor each for the Clayton State trio.

Ga. – November 18, 2009 –
Playing its final exhibition before the start of the 2009-10
season, the Clayton State Laker men’s basketball team got more than what
it could handle on Wednesday night as the Lakers dropped a 109-92
shootout to Baseline USA at the Athletics and Fitness Center. It was the
second of two exhibitions to start the season for Clayton State. It all
starts for real for the Lakers on Sunday when they officially open the
season at home against Edward Waters at 5 p.m. Robert Murry paced
Clayton State with 25 points.

women’s basketball inks Florida JUCO standout
Shooting guard Dixon comes to Clayton State from
Indian River State

MORROW,
Ga. – November 16, 2009 –
While the Clayton State Laker women’s basketball
team is anxiously awaiting what should be a big 2009-10 season, head coach
Dennis Cox and his staff took the first steps towards preparing for 2010-11
with the early signing of Florida JUCO standout Keona Dixon from Indian
River State College on Monday. A 5-foot-7 shooting guard from
Clearwater, Fla., Dixon is the first player that Cox has signed
during the early NCAA signing period while at Clayton State. She will
give the Lakers a legitimate perimeter threat next season.
